Gibela Apprenticeship 2022 – Lead Buyer

Job Description:

Integrated in the metallic group, the Buyer will deploy commodities strategy of its perimeter (ex: casting, sheet metal works, etc…) and ensure project executions are in line with QCD objectives. They will also be required to pilot contractual relationships with suppliers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure QCD targets achievement, CONQ (Cost Of Non Quality) & claims management
• Respect Gibela code of ethics and guidelines
• Preparation and launch of Request for Quotation with suppliers using the standard tool
• Management of initial issues before escalation to line manager
• Lead supplier QCD performance reviews
• Identification of project and business needs
• Negotiation of cost reduction with suppliers
• Inputs provider/contributor for order placement

Job Requirements:

• Negotiation Skills
• Minimum 3-7 years of experience in Purchasing or same/similar Industry work experience (ex: quality/engineering/costing/ etc…)
• International mind-set
• Purchasing professional background and/or Quality /supply chain/technical background
• Internal and external influencing skills
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to work in complex organization and to manage wide transversal network
