Job Description:

The Business Intelligence (BI) Manager is accountable to drive BI / Analytics adoption across Clover. The Manager is responsible for the mission critical Data Warehouse application, the technology components (software and hardware) and managing the relationship with the BI service providers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Deliver projects on time, scope, budget and to user satisfaction.
• Cultivate relationships with BI system integrators to broaden the supplier pool.
• Improve team skill levels and eliminate key person dependencies.
• Manage the BI team consisting of Clover permanent staff, consultants and service providers.
• Deliver enhancements per user requirements in an agile and cost-effective manner.
• Plan, motivate for and manage the capex and opex budgets with a focus on cost efficiency and bang-for-the-buck.
• Establish, communicate, manage, and enforce appropriate IT operational best practises through policies and standard operating procedures.
• Pro-actively eliminate technical debt through constant upgrades of technology.
• Ensure BI applications meet business expectations, available per SLA with delivery of accurate results.
• Embed modern application development methodologies, principles, standards, and processes.

Job Requirements:

• Manager of teams
• RFI/Ps (as a lead)
• 5+ years in managing suppliers – contractual negotiations, software licensing, service management
• Independently create business cases and project scopes
• 10+ years in BI / Data Analytics / Data Science management
• Degree or any equivalent NQF 7
• 5+ years in creating and managing capex and opex budgets
