Job Description:
You will be responsible for the identification, management and mitigation of insider threat security events. Routine activities include; Triaging anomalous event data; conducting complex and technical data source analysis; providing investigative leads for threat investigators; providing data analysis and analytical support for cases & projects; providing internal and external insider threat intelligence.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the management of incidents and investigative leads; including notification and escalation response as per defined Insider Trust Program guidelines
- Support business engagement by applying technical and functional expertise
- Delivers recommendations and actions to improve the detection, prevention and escalation of insider threat security events (i.e.: Enhance PRI signals)
- Identify techniques, tactics and procedures for new insider threats and trends
- Works as part of a multidisciplinary team in the delivery of insider threat management
- Improve and challenge existing processes and procedures in an agile and fast moving environment
- Perform data analysis and analytical insights into case & project work
- Contributes to the execution of triage controls to detect anomalous events collected by approved
- User Behavioral Analytical (UBA) tooling and other available technologies to decipher underlying threats, trends and anomalies from an insider threat perspective
- Assist in the development of ITPs administrative policies and procedures
- Case management on the UBA management platform
- Prepare and deliver reports, using metrics and data visualizations, to effectively communicate risk management to ITP Lead
- Stays current with global developments in the industry through research, periodicals, seminars, training, vendor site visits, and memberships
- Help develop innovative Insider Threat capabilities to further enhance our proactive and reactive analytical processes
Job Requirements:
- Insider threat program experience will be beneficial
- Able to evaluate business standards / policies / procedures and security processes for potential opportunities for insider exploitation
- Strong analytical skills to define risk, identify potential threats, document and develop action/mitigation plan
- Able to handle sensitive information with discretion and employ high ethical standards
- Experience with case and consequence management
- Ability to triage security events to identify potential insider threats
- Good analytical skills
- A good understanding of cyber security attack paths, mitigation and defense mechanisms
- Good level of understanding of insider threats relative to financial services / behavioural analytics / relationship between insider threats and incident response
- Able to manage competing priorities and work efficiently under pressure
