Job Description:

The role will execute daily survey functions including underground and surface mining and development surveys, engineering surveys, surface surveying and slope stability and subsidence monitoring. Liaise with mining and engineering to provide survey control for mine development and engineering projects
in line with survey legal requirements

Job Responsibilities:

• Performs post processing of laser scan data and conducts tunnel convergence analyses including convergence reporting.
• Conduct and check surveys as required to ensure the accuracy of the survey network as per legal requirements.
• Validates and approves LiDAR volumetric calculations for slope monitoring purposes.
• Responsible to measure and analyse slope monitoring to identify movement timeously.
• Assures accurate rig alignment for raise boring and issues required survey note.
• Establish and maintain good working relationships and an effective / sound communication system within the operation
• Install survey reference points underground for accurate development of all excavations and engineering projects.
• Establish and maintain a network of survey beacons and pegs to ensure accurate survey control over the mining property.

Job Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years mine surveying experience.
• Computer Literacy and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver’s license
• Certificate COM Advanced Mine Survey and Advanced Valuation Certificates or Economics 1 from Mine Surveyors Certificate of Competency.
• National Diploma Mine Surveying
