Job Description:

Develop and drive the vision and direction of the APP Quality Department to inspire the transition from the role of “checkers” and “auditors” to that of “business consultants” that guide our suppliers in the creations of pro-active and evolving Quality Assurance procedures. To provide strategic direction, guidance and support to the Regional Quality Managers in resolving regional quality or technical operational issues as required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Establish and continually update internal competence certification to improve and constantly update the ability or our quality teams
• Take the ownership of the Global Quality KPI’s in terms of reporting, the responsibility for performance and the analysis of data to drive improvement strategies
• Take ownership and drive external accreditation for T1 and T2 suppliers. Focus on improving quality standards at all suppliers whilst reducing the need for multiple inspections
• Leverage the capabilities of the Quality Department to reduce the cost of quality to our brands and our suppliers – including the development of in-house solutions to 3rd party inspections
• Develop and implement a global strategy for the implementation of quality ‘best practise’
• Represent Global Quality requirement in the development of all new initiates and projects
• Create and drive a plan to continuously reduce the need for in house testing moving the responsibility to T1 and T2
• Build and maintain a strong working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders
• Manage the creation of all adidas quality standards and manuals. Hold accountability, both internal and external, on policies execution to guarantee that all regional quality and product quality needs are met
• Key stakeholder in driving Digital Manufacturing & Quality data cube where data can enhance decision making in other functional area beyond Manufacturing Excellence & Quality.

Job Requirements:

• At least ten years of managerial experience in the apparel industry
• Ability to network with multiple stakeholder including customers
• Experience in apparel / textile technical role, working across multiple countries of origins
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Management of teams working in multiple countries
• Fluent English
• Appropriate subject matter qualifications and experience in technical field
• Strong conflict management and influencing skills
• Detailed understanding of the manufacturing process for apparel product
