Job Description: The Design Team in the Zumiez Marketing Department is a small, highly productive group of omnichannel designers. Our goal as marketers is to create experiences that our customer will talk about. This includes throwing exclusive events, creating unrivaled events for our employees, extending the Zumiez brand through promo product, packaging design, video content, motion design, web creative, microsites, street team collateral, vehicle wraps, campaign identities, and co-branded promotions with the best brands in action sports and street culture.We are looking for a Graphic Designer with promising typography and layout skills, an aptitude for trend research, the desire to experiment and learn, and an ability to present concepts while also aggregating feedback and channeling it into improved design. Designers at Zumiez have a high degree of ownership over a wide range of projects. They are also relied on for creative input into non-design questions like whether it's more mind-blowing to have a human cannonball or a 60-piece marching band (the right answer was "Both.") This position reports to the Art Director. Job Responsibilities: Concept and design unique, brand appropriate logos for various internal and external projects Present design comps to relevant groups and refine work at a self-directed, rapid pace Affinity for a collaborative work environment and a desire to work as part of a team Bachelor's Degree in Design or equal combination of experience and education Appreciation for action sports culture Concept, design, organize, implement and set-up print ready artwork for various print projects Collaborate with other design team members on various promotional projects Concept, design, and present co-branded materials for print, web, social and other promotional media Create additional graphic assets (layouts, large format banners, web images, typography and decals) as needed in coordination with the design team Portfolio showcasing a variety of industries and deliverables represented Strong typography and layout skills Ability to contribute to a creative environment; high comfort level with brainstorm and critique processes Customer service-minded communication skills with internal and external stakeholders Positive attitude and willingness to reprioritize quickly and efficiently to rapidly changing needs and situations Qualification & Experience: Knowledge of 3D rendering software Knowledge of timeline-based software Knowledge of filming and video production processes Job Details: Company: Zumiez Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Portland, OR, US Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here instantcareers.net
