Job Description:

The incumbents responsibilities will be: •Actively participating in managing current protection infrastructure, architecture, and protocols, and in designing cost effective appropriate security solutions to ensure optimal protection in his/her area of responsibility. •Effectively co-ordinate and manage all security functions to ensure that the required processes tasks and activities are performed effectively during a shift, and in particular during the night shift.

Job Responsibilities:

• Leading, motivating, developing and training subordinates to create a unified performance driven team, focusing on health and safety aspects.
• Actively participating in managing current protection infrastructure, architecture, and protocols, and in designing cost effective appropriate security solutions to ensure optimal protection in his/her area of responsibility.
• Actively ensuring that Company policy, as well as security policies, procedures, standard operating procedures, and post orders are executed and/or complied with;
• Actively identifying and developing security procedures and/or post orders found to be lacking, redundant or outdated in terms of the required activities that need to be performed, and in terms of the changing security situation, vulnerabilities, and threats.
• Developing action plans, managing and controlling all resources to ensure effective implementation of objectives.
• Effectively co-ordinate and manage all security functions to ensure that the required processes tasks and activities are performed effectively during a shift, and in particular during the night shift.

Job Requirements:

• Have sound knowledge of all applicable legislation, technology systems and best practice principles used within security scenarios, including Metallurgical Plants.
• Be in possession of a recognised Degree or Diploma in Security Management or Law Enforcement qualification.
• Have PSIRA Grade A accreditation and be in possession of a valid Code EB driver’s license and a Firearm Competency certificate.
• Demonstrate managerial competencies focusing on planning, lateral thinking abilities and enhancement of the department’s performance and achievements.
• Demonstrate strong leadership qualities with the ability to lead, coach, motivate and develop subordinates.
• Successfully undergo a security screening and clearance.
• Be an assertive self-starter, results orientated analytical individual with the ability to perform under pressure.
• Have excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written) – with the ability to write reports, communicate at all levels within Sibanye operations, Government departments and the private sector.
