Job Description: A Process Artisan operates process equipment, systems and processes for a VCM plant within the Sasol environment to achieve production requirements in a safe manner. Job Responsibilities: Conducts own and participates in risk assessments according to legislation and company requirements to improve safety Participates in shift handover meetings Maintains good housekeeping and adheres to waste disposal procedures Understand and know the business, drives and KPIs Identifies personal training and development needs, and incorporates into PDP with group leader's approval Conducts IMS inspections to maintain and improve plant sustainability Conduct on the job coaching of learners Work Independently Apply and maintain safety in a working environment Provides adequate feedback to supervisor on work progress SME Presentation on specific plant equipment Job Requirements: Able to operate impact wrench or power tool (wish) Competent permit issuer and receiver (must) Experienced in operating a pure chemical plant (wish) Competent or trained in standby (safety watcher) duties (wish) Experienced in simultaneous operation of multiple operating units comprising of atleast two distillation columns; reactors and cooling towers and tanks (must) Senior Certificate / Full N3 Certificate with English, Maths and Physical Science (must) Competent or trained in basic rigging (wish) Competent or trained in use of basic handtools (wish) Min 1-year experience in the Production environment (must) Passed out as field production artisan in the previous employment area (must) Able to operate DCS linked to other operator stations (must) Driver’s license (wish) Operate and passed out on DCS (e.g. DeltaV) in the previous employment area (must) Chemical Operations NQF Level 4 Certificate (must) Experience at the Vinyls VCM plant (wish) Job Details: Company: Sasol Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Sasolburg Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here instantcareers.net
