Job Description:

To ensure the development, implementation, monitoring and sustainability of the company’s energy management initiatives, standards and the energy projects, in line with company’s strategy and statutory requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure sustainability on projects after commissioning
• Measurement and verification support and guidance on projects
• Support the renewable energy, energy recovery and baseload generation projects.
• Support the implementation of Samancor Chrome’s energy strategy
• Ensure that relevant standards are implemented and maintained on projects
• The above include project initiation, feasibility, capital applications, design specifications, design reviews, detailed design, implementation and sustainability of the projects.
• Place of work will be the Eastern- / Western mining and smelting operations, but may be expanded or changed based on business needs.
• Commissioning support and guidance for major projects

Job Requirements:

• 6 years’ relevant experience in industrial energy management, including, but not limited to identification, development, implementation, performance tracking and sustaining of energy management projects.
• Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (advantageous)
• 4 year Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree
• Certified Energy Manager
