Job Description:

Responsible for the execution of basic strata control observations of the mining operations to ensure stability of excavations and support actions are employed to overcome unforeseen or unpredictable changes to the prevailing geotechnical environment.

Job Requirements:

• Degree NQF 7 or Equivalent in the following areas: Physical Sciences / Natural Sciences / Geology or Mining Engineering
• Any Practical Experience in identifying ground conditions, support measures or risk areas
• National Certificate in Strata Control Operations (SAQA)
• 1 Year Exposure to underground mining environments
• Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science NQF4 Required
