Job Description:
the role will co-ordinate and manage the mining activities and resources within a section to achieve all required targets and to ensure effective communication between all stakeholders and ensure safety
and health of employees.
Job Responsibilities:
- Drafting , reviewing , enforcing of Activity based Risk assessments , Safe working procedures and MCOPs
- Perform Management Leadership practices.
- Provide input into the departmental budget.
- Establish and maintain good working relationships and an effective / sound communication system within the operation.
- Model behaviour that is consistent with the Company Vision and Values.
- Manage the budget for the area of responsibility.
- Responsible for the generation of cost saving ideas
- Implement and manage the area of responsibility plan as signed off by the Appointed Manager
- Ensure that all Mining reporting is aligned with standards, guidelines and schedules.
- Coordinate, control the preparation and ensure the timeous reporting of production results, records and reports
Job Requirements:
- Blasting Certificate OR National Certificate Rock breaking Underground Hard Rock Level 3.
- Computer Literacy and Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate).
- A minimum of 3 years’ mining experience as a Shiftboss in an underground environment
- Valid driver’s license
- Grade 12
- Certificate Mine Overseers Certificate of Competence.
