Job Description:

The role will supervise and control the construction work of employees, contractors, site agents/foremen undertaking such work under contract to the Mine.

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan and schedule allocated work taking into account customer requirements.
• Initiate orders for materials required in order to execute work.
• Provide technical advise to contractors.
• Inspect contractor equipment ensuring compliance with mine and legal standards.
• Develop and submit ongoing action plans.
• Assists the Project team to forecast labour, costs, materials and equipment.
• Acts as a Company representative between Contractors.
• Responsible to draft scope of work.

Job Requirements:

• Recognised Trade Test Certificate (Boilermaker or Fitter or Diesel Mechanic or Rigger or Electrician or Instrumentation Mechanician or Millwright).
• Grade 12
• Computer Literacy and Microsoft Office Suite.
• N2 National Certificate
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in relevant trade (post qualification).
• Valid driver’s license
