Job Description: Reporting to the Engineering Foreman Control and Instrumentation, the role will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, faultfinding and repair of instruments, control elements, control systems and application specific electronic equipment within the control and instrumentation (C & I) discipline Job Responsibilities: Perform standby duties and attend to breakdowns Responsible for the safe installation and maintenance of radiation equipment where applicable. Investigate and diagnose problems and breakdowns to determine resource requirements. De-energise and apply the lockout procedure as per company policy Co-ordinate the monitoring, installation, service and reconditioning of a variety of equipment, instruments and control systems. Co-ordinate and monitor equipment availability to ensure adherence to production parameters. Install and maintain networks and instrumentation and do fault finding on the hardware and software level. Monitor the implementation of new equipment and systems, taking specifications in consideration. Assist Foreman in executing his/his duties as and when required. Job Requirements: National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Light Current) or Instrumentation and Process Control obtained via University of Technology Valid Drivers’ License Computer Literacy and Microsoft Office Suite A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in the Control and Instrumentation discipline Trade Test certificate (Instrument and Process Control or Instrument Mechanician**) N6 in Electrical Engineering Light Current or Instrumentation and Process Control obtained via TVET / Technical College AND Job Details: Company: Petra Diamonds Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Gauteng Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here instantcareers.net
