Job Description: As a 3D Store + Environment’s designer, you will work cross-functionally to develop 3D design solutions for a wide variety of projects, including fixtures, shop-in-shops, new stores/remodels, and trade/media/consumer events. This role is an individual contributor on the Environmental Design team, which is part of the Patagonia Design Studio. Job Responsibilities: Maintain materials library and sample boards. Interface with vendors, contractors, and external design agencies. 3D modeling and rendering of complex branded structures and environments. Perform site surveys and documentation. Provide regular communication with ED team members and other stakeholders regarding project status. Produce 2D artwork and build print ready files. Produce floor plans, layouts, and detailed presentation decks. Keep abreast of new 3D modeling/rendering techniques and software updates. Collaborate with marketing, product, and retail/sales peers on creative, compelling, and innovative design solutions. Job Requirements: Excellent communication skills, in person, on the phone and in writing. Proficient in the following: Sketchup Pro; Rendering software (KeyShot, Podium, Etc.); Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator); Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word and Excel); Keynote; FTP file transfer; Ideation/visualization via hand sketching/drawing, model building or other non-CAD techniques. Cultural connection to the brand. College degree in Art/Design, or equivalent experience. Knowledge of fabrication/printing process: construction, masonry, wood and metal working, lighting, etc. 4+ years of 3D design experience in a brand or agency environment. Knowledge of printing process: building print files, substrates, digital printing, finishes, etc. Deadline driven and works well under pressure. Flexibility and ability to navigate changing priorities. Demonstrates initiative, is conscientious and provides complete follow-through on areas of responsibility.
