Job Description:

You will be joining the Data Collection team as Mobile Software Engineer to help build and maintain a mobile application to enable our drone pilots to plan and execute drone data collection flights.

Job Responsibilities:

• Helping the team test features in the field (usually at nearby farms).
• Building and maintaining mobile applications which interface with our drone hardware.
• Improving efficiency, reliability and scalability of the system as a whole, taking cost and utilisation into account.
• Participating in, or leading the design, implementation, and delivery of projects.
• Scalable, cost effective, non-invasive methods of capturing the data required to feed our AI models through advanced drone and sensing technologies.

Job Requirements:

• The ability to work autonomously in a small team to solve complex problems.
• Experience working with schema-first APIs within a microservice architecture.
• Able to develop well-structured, performant mobile applications to specification (preference for experience in React Native and/or other JS frameworks).
• BSc/BEng Mechatronics / Electrical and Computer Engineering OR
• Knowledge of interfacing with IOT devices via mobile applications.
• Equivalent working experience
• BSc Computer Science OR
