Job Description:

Area Visual Manager ensures the integrity of the Brand through consistent execution of the Old Navy Global vision and North America initiatives specific to visual merchandising direction within their assigned District or Districts. The Area Visual Manager drives execution that upholds the visual merchandising standards within the District(s). The Area Visual Manager partners with the District Manager to ensure accountability for product and presentation direction; identifies needs, develops plans and follows up to ensure effective execution. An Area Visual Manager supports by providing a mixture of classroom training and hands on merchandising in their District(s). They are the primary change leader, subject matter expert and communicator for their stores about all brand, district, region and territory initiatives. The Area Visual Manager works closely with the District Managers and is part of the District Leadership team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • As an AVM, you are part of the greater Field Visual Team, along with your Regional and Territory teams.
  • You collaborate with your RVM, Regional Director and District Managers to coach, teach, and uphold the brand visual merchandising standards.
  • You identify and use multiple ways to achieve goals in case of obstacles; plan for contingencies; identify opportunities in own area to contribute to the commercial success of the enterprise.
  • You drive brand loyalty by ensuring exceptional customer experience through well-merchandised, visually engaging, brand appropriate environments throughout the Region.
  • Grow profitable sales through business analysis to identify and synthesize wins and opportunities. Uses tools and resources to help identify root cause analysis.
  • Deliver Brand merchandising and visual standards by execution of brand style guide, playbook and flexing directions.
  • Partner with the District Managers to identify developmental opportunities relating to visual merchandising to build skills and capabilities.
  • Effectively communicate to provide feedback and solutions by identifying successes or opportunities regarding store presentations to store management and District Managers
  • Conduct and participate in store visits focusing on presentation standards, brand integrity, identity business opportunities.
  • Coordinate and conduct visual merchandising workshops with the District Managers.
  • Weekly touch base with RVM/ Visual Director to hindsight and foresight business needs and opportunities.
  • You ensure regional, district, and store teams understand the Old Navy global brand vision and North America initiatives; reinforcing company goals and objectives at the store level.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Minimum of 3+ year store experience, merchandising, high volume, complex business leadership.
  • Flexible to work days, nights, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business.
  • Ability to travel overnight as required
