We are an ambitious organisation, and we are looking for an equally ambitious and innovative Cost Engineer to join our dynamic Cost Benchmarking & Budget Setting team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Generation of cost reduction ideas
• Budget setting by part for full programmes
• Cost estimation for component piece cost and vendor tooling
• As you would expect, being a global organisation, working cross functionally across the business (inc R&D, Product Planning & Market
• Intelligence) will be an essential part of the role.
• Supporting global Cost Benchmarking & Budget Setting activities

Job Requirements:

• A good understanding of electrical/electronic components
• Some specialist manufacturing process experience such as plastic injection moulding, metal stamping, casting, assembly, etc. would be beneficial.
• An understanding of the main drivers that affect costs.
• A strong background in electrical/electronic manufacturing environment however we would still like to hear from applicants from a production, industrial, process engineering or design background.
• A good understanding of how parts are manufactured and assembled.
• You need to be a self-motivated character with the ability to work in a team and on your own.
