Job Description:

Support the delivery of NMUK’s Factory of The Future strategy and the Trim and Chassis HyperComp systems. This includes support from concept to commissioning of conveyors, AGVs, services and associated work to ensure successful launches with respect to QCTP.

Job Responsibilities:

• Machine safety: Facility Risk Assessment, Safety Matrix, Safety Performance Levels, Specify Safety Devices, Essential Health & Safety
• Requirements (EHSR’s), CE file and Technical file
• Coordinate Projects within Shop Floor Zone Teams
• Documentation Updates
• Support Electrical design
• Specification Writing and Procurement of Parts and Services to support New Machine Builds and Shop Floor Modifications
• Budget Management – demonstrating cost analysis, cost reduction & regular budget control
• Project Management – planning & execution of facility projects to demanding deadlines by writing and monitoring schedules
• Provide technical advice and support to Maintenance and Production departments
• Update Technical Documentation
• Facility Development from concept stage, through installation, commissioning and including production launch
• Plan Shop Floor Layout Modifications and Service Requirements to support Productivity Projects
• Review concept designs considering Safety & Legal compliance using current European Machine legislation & standards
• Specify, manage and control sub-contractor works

Job Requirements:

• Engineering experience along with degree or HNC level education.
• Excellent communication skills
• Demonstrable knowledge of current European Machine legislation & standards
• Technical Electrical Background
• Analytical & logical approach to problem solving
• Management of multiple projects
• Ideally experience of Omron / Siemens PLC logic
