Netflix Internship – Senior Software Engineer (Partner Engineering)

Job Description:

Developing, certifying, and maintaining the continuously evolving Netflix experience requires continuous investments. Netflix is a native application and so this role brings together embedded device technologies, code-based testing, and data-driven validation using both general-purpose embedded tools and specialized Netflix tools.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage priorities, deadlines, and deliverables over multiple TV Operators.
• Build and maintain our engineering relationships with TV Operators. Willingness to travel 4-6 times per year to our partners, or to Netflix offices.
• Help integrate, test, deploy, and improve Netflix-ready devices from roadmap to market by using and improving Netflix solutions and tools.

Job Requirements:

• 10+ years experience with C/C++ or Java, and version control like GIT or similar. Experience in shell scripting, SQL, Python, JavaScript is a plus.
• Demonstrated history of delivering on full development lifecycle and multiple successful releases, preferably in the TV Operator domain.
• Programming or principal leadership experience in two or more from the following: Embedded Linux, embedded graphics, software development with a focus on distributed computing, audio/video pipelines.
• Good communication skills in English, and fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese are a must.
• Experience with Operating Systems internals (Linux or Android)Demonstrated history and passion for cross-functional collaboration in pursuit of continuous improvement, preferably in the TV Operator domain.
• BS or MS degree in any disciplines of Computer Science, Computer, Electrical, or Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
