Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the development of Product Lifecycle Management applications using the current Oracle ADF, Oracle Business Intelligence Reports and SOA technologies.
- The Enterprise Applications Software Engineer II shall provide technical and development expertise and deliver on software products that will revamp, improve and enhance the capabilities of various PLM technology toolsets in support of JPL’s engineering processes and shall work with project managers, product leads, system engineers, fellow developers, systems administrators, and platform operations for a successful project completion.
Job Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of effectively translating functional requirements into technical design and solutions.
- Skill set and in-depth working knowledge using development frameworks and IDE’s such as Oracle ADF & Oracle Jet, Node.js/Express, Django, Java Spring, Python & Angular/React, and tools such as JDeveloper, Microsoft Visual Studio, PyCharm, InteliJ IDEA (or an equivalent IDE).
- Understanding in: software design and development, software development lifecycles, service oriented architectures, web services and enterprise service bus, custom workflows and business processes, Agile Development Methodologies, design patterns, and development best practices.
- Understanding of database design, normalization, and optimization using SQL, stored procedures, and database triggers.
- Working experience and expertise with the following technologies: JavaScript, CSS, Java, Oracle ADF, PL/SQL.
- Knowledgeable in JavaScript, CSS and modern user experience (UX) design best practices.
- Knowledgeable in designing, implementing, and consuming APIs and web services, and API-first methodologies.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 3 years of related experience; or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 1 year of experience; or PHD in relevant discipline with 0 years of experience.
- Continued interaction with stakeholders, project managers, software developers and configurators, system administrators, and line management in a remote team environment.
