Job Description:

Technically manages and reviews engineering tasks performed by members of the group and contractors necessary to ensure conformity design control, performance of facilities, systems and equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Designs and directs development of unique or leading-edge technology, equipment, or systems to meet specific mission requirements.
• Evaluates design requirements and limitations of an uncertain nature, under which systems and/or equipment operates.
• Coordinates and integrates the development of multi-disciplinary long term projects as lead engineer.
• Serves as an adviser to engineers, project managers, management and related organizations, or contractor personnel.
• Serves as a technical expert engineering specialist in developing procedures, methods, and techniques necessary for the test, checkout, and readiness of systems or equipment and giving authoritative advice to Program and Project leadership.
• Communicates project requirements, actionable events, milestones, and/or program issues under review, and deadlines and time frames for completion.
• Prepares all documentation for the project and coordinates communication with stakeholders.

Job Requirements:

• In addition to the Basic Education Requirement (in the Education section below), to qualify for this position you must meet the requirements below and have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade, which has equipped you with the particular competencies needed to successfully perform the duties of the position described above.
