Job Description:

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Assembler Bentley Park, to be based at the Fabrication Workshop, Engineering Services, Bentley Park near Carletonville, Gauteng. The successful candidate will report to the Artisan Bentley Park

Job Responsibilities:

• Positions parts and subassemblies by using template or reading measurements and installation/assembly instructions
• Documents actions by completing production and quality forms
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
• Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, specifications and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools and materials
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies
• Verifies specifications by measuring complete component
• Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs

Job Requirements:

• Relevant working experience in earthmoving and trackless mining equipment workshops
• At least 4 years’ experience as an Engineering Assistant, i.e. Boilermaker
• Must be fit to work underground
• Must not have a criminal record
