Job Description:

The implementation leader position within the Global Technical Operations organization is responsible for planning and managing the conversion of new clients’ plan data and installation of new plans. The implementation leader reviews new business and project timelines to identify any non-standard provisions or services that may impact compliance, cost or MetLife’s ability to meet/exceed customer expectations. Negotiates plan design features and administrative services. Partners with business units to ensure that implementations are delivered consistently, timely and of high quality.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conducts weekly or periodic status meetings with various parties to review progress and resolve issues.
  • Participates in post-sale activities in setting up or converting client cases.
  • Reviews sold plan and project timeline with sales staff to identify any non-standard provisions or services.
  • Identifies implementation-related problems and helps resolve issues.
  • May participate in sales presentations, and/or consult on plan design and administrative services; may recommend alternative plan provisions or administrative processes in place of non-standard or incompatible requests.
  • Partners with other business units (Sales, IT, etc.) to ensure that implementations are delivered consistently, timely, and accurately.

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Ability to modify and develop procedures and policies to meet reporting needs/requirements.
  • 2+ years of employee benefits experience
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, strong analytical and problem solving skills.
