Job Description:

Department functions as the central strategy development and M&A transactions management team for the Bank. The team works on addressing topics at the top of senior management and Board’s agenda including but not limited to developing strategic plans for the Bank and subsidiaries, conducts corporate acquisitions & disposals, provides CEO office support and lead special group-wide projects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Special project: Lead different entity level strategic initiatives across all the Businesses and Functions of the Bank, with a focus on new business development, partnership development or setting up new area of expertise for the Group.
• M&A Transactions: Lead or support execution of acquisitions and disposals (A&D) projects, support governance of the Bank’s corporate investments and exploit synergies in accordance to the Bank’s strategic priorities.
• Board and Chief Executive office support: Support key activities of executive office including but not limited to organizing annual / bi-annual events, preparing presentation materials for external and internal meetings, relationship management with key external and industry bodies and monitoring of business results.
• Bank strategy development: Support strategic business studies that are cross-Businesses, Functions and/or geographies in nature, derive actionable insights and make appropriate recommendations to the Bank’s senior management. Support execution, coordination, tracking and evaluation according to the Bank’s strategic planning framework.

Job Requirements:

• Strong organization and management skills with the ability work on and manage multiple priorities / projects at one time
  Committed, self-motivated and action-oriented personality with strong sense of ownership to drive tasks, projects / initiatives; Ability to build a relationships with peers and senior executives
• Well-versed in MS Office including Excel and PowerPoint; experience in financial modelling an asset
• One to three years of corporate strategy, strategy consulting, corporate development and/or venture experience in financial services (e.g. retail banking, wholesale banking, asset management, investment banking etc.)
• Bachelors degree with good knowledge in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline; an MBA or Masters Degree would a plus.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English, Arabic would be a plus
• Excellent generalist problem-solving skills with strong conceptual, highly structured and analytical capabilities to deal with ambiguities
• Excellent written communication, oral presentation and interpersonal skills; Able to articulate conceptual ideas and strategic directives to a wide range of audience
