Job Description: Being able to manage and sign off on off-shore transactions and provide guidance to consultants and credit on off-shore transactions Job Responsibilities: Having a good understanding of preference share and equity transactions, insolvency matters and London Market Association documents Assisting consultants in the implementation of structured lending deals including, but not limited to, managing the legal process, liaising with external attorneys and clients, reviewing documentation prepared by external attorneys and liaising with internal stakeholders The client focus is primarily from a Gauteng perspective Assisting consultants with client queries on standard documentation and where necessary, meeting with clients to resolve issues and queries Providing advice and legal support to consultants, as well as to risk and operational teams including but not limited to drafting letters (including non-standard extension letters, amendment letters and bespoke letters to client), providing advice on the acceptability of documents (including resolutions and constitutional documents), providing advice on legislation (including the Companies Act, NCA, CPA and Competition Commission and SARB notification requirements) Job Requirements: Corporate/Commercial drafting experience essential Highly proficient skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams and Excel required Admitted Attorney with at least 7 years relevant post articles experience in a commercial law firm or corporate environment in financial services Banking and/or property experience essential Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills required Job Details: Company: Investec Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Sandton Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here instantcareers.net
