Job Description:

The candidate must have preferably 3 years + experience within the Manufacturing industry with a sound understanding of the manufacturing training cycle and requirements. The ideal person will need to demonstrate initiative and drive and maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Arrange, schedule and co-ordinate training interventions as per the ATR and company skills matrix.
  • Provide sound HR support to internal stakeholders with up-to-date accurate relevant information when required.
  • Facilitate various applications and understanding of HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that job descriptions are periodically updated and maintained.
  • Identify training needs for staff on all levels – internal and external and report the internal training needs to our training officer. (we have a set plan, the function will be for staff not performing up to standard. Follow up that training was done)
  • Draft new job descriptions with the help of department managers.
  • Liaise with role players to ensure that training events, reports and tasks are completed within required timelines.
  • Manage and update the skills matrix of all training required/planned and completed.
  • Assist with BBBEE preparation.
  • Ensure accurate and systematic administration of all training records (attendance registers and cost of training) for all training interventions.
  • Support the HR Manager in the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems.
  • Ensure that relevant documentation is submitted by applicants.
  • Co-ordinate appointment adverts, internal and external, source recruitment, screen applicants for interviews, arrange interviews and screen back ground checks.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in HR related working environment.
  • Own vehicle to be used during office hours.
  • A degree or diploma in Human Resource Management is essential.
  • Proven knowledge on application of all relevant employment laws and labour laws including but not limited to BCEA, LRA, OHSA, POPIA, EEA,
  • B-BBEE, etc. is essential.
  • Good knowledge of employment equity is essential.
  • The successful candidate must have good people skills and be computer literate with advanced Excel and Word skills.
  • Previous knowledge of HR processes and procedures is essential as well as a good knowledge of HR best practices.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail and must be able to work autonomously.
  • Valid Code 8 drivers license.
  • Previous experience having worked as a HR Generalist in the manufacturing industry is preferred.
