Job Description:

Our Global Sourcing Team enhances H-E-B customer shopping experience by bringing in products from around the world.As a Sourcing Mgr I, you will support H-E-B’s strategic initiative to source domestic and import items / suppliers to increase profit margins, provide competitive advantage, and serve as a subject matter expert.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conducts bids; negotiates / implements high dollar purchase agreements
  • Plans / executes specialized sourcing events, including (but not limited to) Central Market Passport, CIAO Italia, Quest for Texas Best, etc.
  • Actively participates in developing strategies, processes, possibilities for distinctive, exclusive, innovative products
  • Supports BDMs in improving their businesses through enhanced processes and detailed financial analysis and interpretation
  • Performs duties of Assoc Sourcing Mgr
  • Acts as SME between internal / external stakeholders, including multiple-level leaders across H-E-B
  • Participates in product quality efficiency / improvement while reducing lead-times, inventory, and cost
  • Develops specific plans for assigned product lines with BDMs
  • Sets sales, gross margin, and market share objectives for each new product line to be developed / imported with BDM
  • Provides comparisons on new product performance / initial projections
  • Establishes W&T plans, including negotiation of all associated costs; ensures logistic efficiency through INCO terms, use of third-party warehousing, consolidated loads, etc.
  • Understands / articulates goals, objectives of H-E-B Sourcing department
  • Coordinates domestic / international supply chain; ensures POs arrive on time, over / under stock monitoring, promo planning, etc.
  • Independently locates, creates, and implements cost-saving activities
  • Understands / uses FOREX program
  • Collaborates with various departments of the company including Supply Chain, Procurement, Own Brand, QA, etc.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in international business, or relevant / comparable work
  • Experience in international trade
  • 2 – 4 years of work / H-E-B experience
