Job Description:
The Demand Planner & Inventory Analyst I is responsible for demand planning, forecasting / replenishment, and inventory analysis for UPC items (limited suppliers, predetermined mix and cost) from order point, through warehouse, to the store shelf.What is the work? (other duties may be assigned)In general, responsible for handling concurrent, less complex -fresh- replenishment / inventory assignments with small to medium budgets / impacts
Job Responsibilities:
- Directs / executes the purchase of commodities; develops and executes purchasing strategies in order to proactively identify issues that minimize risk and protect continuity of supplies
- Manages OMI orders and OLO for assigned products / commodities; develops significant product knowledge on items being supported, including an understanding of the Merchant role
- Documents / executes promotional events
- Manages the Guaranteed to Store Date (GTSD) process
- Manages markdowns, supplier service levels, freight savings work, freshness
- Manages rejections, supplier score-carding
- Manages logistics with suppliers / Transportation to ensure on-time delivery, and reduced cost and shrink
- Creates, develops, executes demand forecasts; reports forecast variances
- Establishes, manages good supplier relationships from sourcing / selection, contracting, pricing, performance feedback, and continuous improvement activities
- Executes New Vendor Set Up process
