Job Description: Under the direction of the Director, you will help run the Strength and Conditioning program at Harvard. Job Responsibilities: Develop, administer and implement strength and conditioning programs for varsity athletes. Coordinate strength and conditioning programs with related rehabilitation activities developed by athletic trainers. Administer pre-season and off-season fitness evaluations. Provide nutritional guidance for athletes, including information on eating disorders, weight loss, and weight gain. Instill a winning attitude and strong work ethic in student-athletes. Develop and enforce appropriate safety procedures. Design, organize, administer, supervise and implement off-season, pre-season, and in-season sport-specific strength and conditioning programs for varsity athletes. Increase the athletic ability and performance of student-athletes. Motivate student-athletes to strive to achieve their highest potential, keeping in mind their various skill levels. Develop regimens to prevent injuries. Teach proper form on Olympic-style lifts. Maintains appropriate records for each sport/athlete. Implementation requires teaching body mechanics and instructing on technique so that the S&C training not only enhances strength, flexibility, speed, and conditioning but also helps to prevent injuries during athletic participation. Ensure compliance with Harvard, Ivy League, and NCAA policies and regulations, including NCAA policies on banned substances.
