Job Responsibilities:

  • Support plant acceleration throughput during the launch through identification and resolution of constraints including documentation lead for daily acceleration efficiency report.
  • Lead pre-build validation events for the EOL test software and hardware
  • Assist in preparation of management reviews and data collection to support the presentation.
  • PFMEA updates and maintenance based on physical build events.
  • Drive quality, cost and labor improvements during the launch process.
  • Develop scope of work documents for tooling build and install
  • Support prototype builds on site at the North American Manufacturing Assembly Plants.
  • Work with suppliers to generate tooling cost estimates
  • Lead assembly tooling installation, start-up, and commissioning at the assembly site.
  • Identify and drive resolution of manufacturing related issues
  • Ensure the timely delivery of inputs and specification documentation for EOL test and configuration systems to vendors
  • Implementation of new/modified EOL test, configuration, and calibration tooling and facilities based on product and process changes
  • Collaborate with other Ford groups on cross-functional activities (PD, Supplier Quality, New Model Launch, etc.).
  • Provide manufacturing engineering leadership throughout a new model development program beginning through + 45 days.

Job Requirements:

  • 2+ years’ experience in automotive manufacturing (internship/co-op experience will be considered)
  • Experience with Web Based reporting systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Automotive Management
  • Strong program management skills and result oriented mentality
  • Past success operating in stressful situations with timing constraints
  • Experience with MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook)
  • Bachelor’s Degree
