Job Responsibilities:
- Provide communication and recognition to the team
- Supervise preventive maintenance schedules, preventive and predictive inspections, and repairs to lessen down time
- Through Process Confirmation, verify that the line is running safely, efficiently, and producing quality parts
- Build a conducive work environment for the team(s) to complete their assigned responsibilities / tasks
- Handle the basic administration of supervisory responsibilities and documents
- Support Kaizen (Continuous Improvement) and lead problem resolution to the lowest level
- Meet FTT, inventory, cost, scrap, supply, and tooling expense targets
- Establish Team Leader and Team Member capability
- Coach Safety, Quality and Productivity to ensure objectives are met through following standardized work
- Coordinate and scheduling labor and materials to meet maintenance requirements to minimize down time; coordinate maintenance activities with other plant operations
- Monitor ANDON occurrences. Be the first responder as secondary support
- Optimize efficiency in accordance with budgets and cost objectives
- Work any shift as well as rotating shifts and weekends
Job Requirements:
- Safety and Quality experience preferred
- High School Diploma or GED
- Familiarity with constraint management principles
- Ability to read a machine part print
- CNC machining experience
- Prior tenure leading a unionized work force
- Ability to make machining offsets based on gauge results
- Assembly/subassembly experience preferred
- 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)
- Proven experience in troubleshooting equipment downtime issues
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Knowledge and experience in machining, tooling, gauging
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Proven experience in leading production and maintenance in a machining environment
