The 2 nd Shift Distribution Center Supervisor is responsible for achieving key organizational goals of the distribution center through the efficient use of staff and systems on a day-to-day operational basis. This includes interaction with the client teams on operational issues, as well as providing operational technical expertise and excellent customer service. The Supervisor will have full responsibility for implementing and executing all operations programs, policies, and systems within their assigned department. This role is responsible for providing efficient and effective coordination of their work unit, which includes understanding their team and motivating them to achieve organizational and professional goals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective supervision of associates and assist them with ongoing development including completing yearly evaluations.
  • Adapt to new working conditions and be able to work a flexible schedule including increased peak season hours as needed.
  • Review and approve all associates time entries in timekeeping and production management systems; making any corrections as needed within the designated time frames.
  • Interpret and present information to associates such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Properly follows company and OSHA safety procedures as well as all applicable municipal, state and federal laws regarding safety.

Job Requirements:

  • Comprehensive experience working with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
  • At least 2 years in a Supervisory position.
  • Associates Degree or higher in Logistics, Operations Management, Business Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • Previous knowledge of automated DC Systems and current RF technology preferred
