Job Description:

The Data Steward will be responsible for data. The individual is recognised as business definers, producers, and users of data who are ultimately responsible for the definition, management, control, integrity or maintenance of a data resource. Data Stewardship is at the core of data governance in each business area. Stewards provide linkage among Information Owners of different but related data subjects

Job Responsibilities:

• Develops, facilitates and manages relationships with all stakeholders
• Researches, designs and implements best practice customer service solutions
• Participates in planned activities that are appropriate for own and staff development in area of responsibility
• Collates and presents Quality Assurance Operational Reviews to business
• Manages the required resources to enable business performance and achieve business objectives
• Advises and supports the Organisation through change by managing the change management methodology and processes
• Works within agreed budget and negotiates for extra funds
• Builds and maintains cooperative relationships with relevant stakeholders
• Researches and implements best practice solutions
• Consults on business processes, requirements and system enhancements
• Builds a culture of personal accountability and teamwork
• Provides subject matter expertise to management on how to ensure compliance and minimise risk in the Organisation
• Contributes to financial gain of the Company through accurate and on-time legislative reporting
• Ensures team is trained in relevant systems and business processes
• Ensures minimisation of organisational financial risk

Job Requirements:

• Preferred Qualification – Bachelor Honours in Information Systems
• Minimum Qualification – Bachelors Degree in Information Systems
• Experience – Five to Ten years experience in managing financial data
