Job Description:

The nature of this work requires the post holder to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the client and/or Customer Representative.

Job Responsibilities:

• Making up cabins and beds daily
• Lost property must be dealt with according to Serco NorthLink lost property policies
• Responsibilities will vary according to the requirements of the business
• Ensure that the PPE provided is worn on duty
• Cleaning within the terminal buildings as required and any other port facilities
• Cleaning within a kitchen environment
• Any other duties as required by the cleaning supervisor and Passenger Service Officer
• Ensure all Serco Essentials and E -learning is completed and up to date.
• Ensuring defects found within the Vessel are reported to line management
• Working on a vessel prior to departure

Job Requirements:

• Ability to understand and follow oral and/or written policies, procedures, and instructions
• Living within the local catchment area and committed to working flexible varying hours
• Complete all required training for the position
• Ability to perform a wide variety of duties and responsibilities with speed and an eye for detail under the pressure of time-sensitive deadlines
• Understanding of COSHH regulations and health and safety awareness
  Good customer service and communication skills
