Job Description:

The Cargo Manager Is responsible for the overall direction of the Station. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding employees; addressing complaints and resolving issues.

Job Responsibilities:

• Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
• Develop professional relationship with internal and external customer to ensure effective cargo operations.
• Ensure the appropriate standards of safety and security are achieved with corporate requirements, government legislation and international best practice.
• Implement a review and risk assessment process on all SOPs and working practices to identify any unsafe practice areas for quality improvement.
• Ensure reliable customer service delivery and on time performance by providing leadership, operational direction and resources required.
• Responsible for the day-to-day safe and efficient operation of cargo operations while ensuring customer service standards and contractual services are met.
• Assume responsibility for accident investigation, reporting and statistical analysis.
• Handle critical issues through liaison with station managers, airport authorities and internal departments to effectively deal with situations.
• Attend and contribute to internal meetings
• Effectively manage staff time to reduce dependence on overtime.
• Responsible to ensure that all cargo staff adheres to the company policies and procedures, upholding safety and security.

Job Requirements:

• Good communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Computer proficiency, Office 365, Word/Excel
• Warehouse management experience preferred
• Customer focus and quality awareness
• Ability to deal with conflict
• Must be able to work flexible hours
