Job Description:

The Senior Sourcing Manager have the experience and aptitude to hit the ground running. The individual sourcing programmes, specifically targeted at The Bank’s current IT estate, are designed to deliver the cost savings and flexibility improvements that will be needed to contribute significantly to The Bank’s publically stated efficiency and renewal goals. The Senior Sourcing reports into the Category Lead for Software.

Job Responsibilities:

• Executes strategies to extract supply-side savings and manage demand-side consumption to lower the Bank’s Total Cost of Ownership for external IT software spend.
• Collaborates with Divisional Vendor Management Office (DVMO) and Software Asset Management (SAM) to review strategic partner products and further software suppliers in terms of service, price and innovation.
• Carrying out market analyses and tenders to select suppliers for new software-based products, services or projects
• Leads the development of annual and medium-term strategic plans, in collaboration with clients and colleagues, for all new sourcing projects. Identifies specific sourcing projects/initiatives for the year including expected savings, resource requirements and associated timescales for completion.
• Highlights operational, regulatory and other risks to the Head of Category Management for Software.
• Manages sourcing deals, driving the supplier selection and negotiation process for IT products (on prem/SaaS/Cloud)

Job Requirements:

• Senior level experience in commercial negotiations
• Very high experiences in dealing with Software purchases. Very strong knowledge about SaaS/Cloud/on prem metrics
• Relevant experience in IT Procurement with experience in relationship management at executive level
• Experience managing complex software specific sourcing projects as well as in Software Asset Management
• Strong interpersonal skills, able to work in virtual, global teams in a dual reporting matrix organisation
• Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (written and verbal). German is mandatory
