Job Description:

Responsible for the operation of approximately one third of the store base. This includes all aspects of store operation, team development, and customer satisfaction, with the objective to achieve company short and long term goals. The role is a key part of the company leadership team, and works cross-functionally with all aspects of the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensures consistent execution of business strategies and company initiatives and achievement of sales and profitability goals.
  • Develops and communicates overall operational strategic plans for the Region and actively communicates business priorities.
  • Participates in the development of company initiatives as assigned by the SVP of Stores.
  • Develops new initiatives and programs collaboratively and in conjunction with Corporate Headquarters Store Operations team for regional or company implementation.
  • Provides effective and continuous communication with the region on store/division sales results, expenses, manpower planning, and customer service minimum requirements.
  • Implements defined performance standards for the Regional Store Director team and ensures fair, consistent and timely feedback to Team Members on their performance.
  • Develops, in conjunction with the Senior Leadership Team, strategic and tactical plans for the operation of field locations and districts.
  • Provides day to day leadership, monitors, evaluates and provides direction to assigned Regional Directors and Store Operations teams that is aligned with the mission and the core values of the Company to ensure achievement of company objectives.
  • Develops and implements plans to build highly productive Regional Directors and District Team Leaders, with a focus on internal leadership development to ensure attraction and retention of high potential team members and building bench strength resulting in successful succession planning.
  • Regularly evaluates, coaches and develops field teams to ensure delivery of store presentation and service standards.
  • Visits with Regional Directors in stores in their regions on a regular and basis.
  • Manages or participates in special projects as needed as assigned by the SVP of Stores.
  • Works collaboratively with the other Regional Vice-Presidents, VP of Store Operations and the SVP of Stores
  • Serves as an advocate for the customer ensuring store operation efforts fit with customer needs and wants as well as business goals / objectives.
  • Manages direct reports including staffing, training, development, performance assessment, disciplinary actions and succession planning.
