Job Description:

The Best Buy SWAT Inventory Specialist ensures product integrity, in-stock availability and accessibility through the utilization of inventory adjustment and data collection tools for a variety of categories. They play a key role in providing an exceptional shopping experience for the customer by ensuring inventory data is accurate and in-stock products are accessible. Additionally, they maintain complete, consistent inventory details and partner with store leadership and team members to provide important information on a routine basis.
A SWAT Inventory Specialist helps to identify, determine and share information regarding any inventory shortages or discrepancies within specific categories. Upon identifying patterns or possible causes (e.g. replenishment, manifest errors, product storage, etc.), they will follow up with store leadership and partner to assist in resolving the issue.

Job Responsibilities:

• Helps drive a positive customer experience by building relationships, exhibiting empathy, and providing solutions for their needs.
• Execute full-cycle, inventory in-stock integrity processes for a variety of product categories within the store.
• Utilize various tools and resources to validate in-stock availability.
• Complete inventory daily tasks as assigned.
• Partner with store leadership to communicate inventory information and details around high shrink category issues.
• Communicate and coach store team members and leadership on the importance of inventory integrity and share information in regard to any process gaps that have been identified.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to lift or maneuver 50-100 pounds, with or without accommodations
• Ability to work successfully as part of a team
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays, nights and weekends
