Barclays Internship 2022 Opportunities – Automated Assurance

Job Description:

As a Barclays Automated Assurance Manager you will be scoping, leading and executing assurance reviews, as well as supporting other review teams in their use of automated assurance. You will be providing guidance on scoping and execution of testing and facilitating the development of the Automated Assurance function and its adoption, development and use of new techniques and approaches.

Job Responsibilities:

• Investigate issues (actual or perceived) in partnership with other areas of Compliance
• Supporting the team to build and capability to deliver assurance reviews
• Supporting realisation of the Automated Assurance strategy
• Providing guidance and support to stakeholders on remediation of control weaknesses and outcome
• Owning, building and managing relationships with key stakeholders
• Be responsible for leading and directing execution of Assurance reviews
• Engaging and collaborating with Compliance colleagues in the development and implementation of strategic systems and processes
• Be responsible for planning, resourcing, execution and reporting of Assurance tests and reviews

Job Requirements:

• Experience and knowledge of compliance and/ or financial crime regulations, risks, technology systems/ solutions
• Experience of deploying data analytics techniques e.g. SQL, Tableau, Qlik-View or similar data visualisation and analytical tools
• Experience in completing reviews with minimal supervision
• Excellent influencing and communication skills with the ability to tailor messages to all levels of the business, so that they are clear and impactful
• Ability to perform data profiling and analytics
• Ability to lead and deliver assurance reviews to a high standard
• Be proactive, demonstrate well-considered judgments and anticipate emerging risks
• Development and execution of testing strategies to assess control environments as part of a systems/ IT assurance; internal or external; or a risk management function
