Job Description: The purpose of the role is to manage the operation as a visible, effective leader to ensure safe, optimal, sustainable performance aligned to the strategy. Job Responsibilities: Manage a portfolio of initiatives to sustainably deliver the plan, including stay-in-business projects Break down Group requirements and performance targets to site level, translate into site-specific targets and budgets and communicate to on-site teams Assign delivery actions for employees at each level in the organisation in line with authority framework set by the Operating Model configuration Lead implementation and hold people accountable for consistently applying the Operating Model as a platform for stable, capable and sustainable operations Provide and sign off input to the development of the Life of Asset Plan Ensure execution is carried out through the Operating Model systems and work routines Ensure consistent application of safety & health principles in all site interactions within and beyond site boundaries to ensure zero harm and elimination of fatalities Develop, plan and set production and service strategy objectives to close gap to benchmarks and best practices Define clear process expectations for each of the key value chain processes and functions within an operation Ensure development of site-specific plans/systems to reduce exposure to site-specific risks Understand and actively manage risks, opportunities and the required trade-offs related to asset sustainability Job Requirements: Degree in Engineering (e.g. Mining, Chemical, Mechanical, Civil) or Geology 1st Class Mine Managers Ticket as required by country regulations Key principles and elements of the Operating Model (Operational Planning, Work Management, and Feedback) and understanding of how to maintain its integrity on site Commercial/business drivers in mining and processing industry, business performance variability and underlying causes that define subsequent actions Integration and management of both up- and downstream activities across value chain Post graduate studies in management (desirable) Business improvement tools and techniques Effective influencing and management relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders to achieve required outcomes Sustainability impact analysis to establish a culture of full impact decision-making that considers safety and sustainability impacts alongside production impacts Leadership tools for creating a culture of purpose-led high performance and change Quarry Manager Ticket (Open Pit) as required by country regulations Interpretation of benchmarks, identification of performance gaps and development of targeted, effective plans to achieve measurable operational improvements Job Details: Company: Anglo American Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Mogalakwena Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here instantcareers.net
