Job Description: The Transportation Analyst is responsible for coordinating daily outbound store delivery schedules and carrier communication around such deliveries as assigned. Incumbent will provide tactical and strategic support in areas of exception management, reporting and metrics/analysis as needed. The Transportation Analyst works closely with internal and external business partners to improve processes, recommend cost efficient processes that streamline transportation and supply chain work flow to sr leadership. Reduce costs and increase/improve service offerings. This position will be an integral part of developing key metrics and dashboards for continuous improvement models. Job Responsibilities: Create and maintain monthly/quarterly service dashboards to assist in carrier management and team performance Build and maintain relationships with service providers and stores to support daily operations for all outbound shipments. Analyze, recommend, and improve current processes through continuous process improvement. Process carrier freight claims from research and settlement. Manage operational needs to support outbound store deliveries and return to vendor shipments. Measure and support carrier key performance indicators (KPI’s) for quality logistics performance, timely transit, and operational service. Develop and implement cost and performance reporting, tracking and management Participate in carrier negotiations Ensure compliance with safety and government DOT regulations and HAZMAT requirements Work closely with internal customers to develop and maintain goals and process that support overall goals of Sephora. Job Requirements: Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure with high sense of urgency and manage multiple priorities with confidence. Excellent customer service and analytical skills. Ability to understand other functions of the business as they apply to position. Detail-oriented Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain current working relationships and networking with carriers and providers. Possess problem-solving skills and analytical abilities. Proven ability to produce results efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress, deadline-driven work environment. Qualification & Experience: BA/BS in Supply Chain or related field strongly referred. Logistics systems user experience (TMS, WMS, Freight Optimization,) preferred. Red Prairie, Mercury Gate Working knowledge of MS Office applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint. 3 + years’ experience working in transportation/logistics specifically with LTL, TL, and small package industry preferred Previous experience with a transportation system and/or ability to quickly develop a proficiency in such systems.
