Job Description: Our team is led by a Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager, each having decades of experience working in the DoD and Shipbuilding Industry. Our Amphibious Warfare Operation provides critical services to nearly all U.S. Navy amphibious ships and craft. You will work closely with Government and industry professionals as well as shipbuilders and other support personnel. Job Responsibilities: Participation in at sea testing is required of all test personnel. Underway Trials and travel support of Post Delivery Availabilities and Testing at other locations such as Norfolk VA, San Diego CA, Mayport FL, Pearl Harbor HI and Sasebo Japan will be required. Provide on-site test engineering and technical support for ship industrial testing. Establish and maintain an effective liaison with Supervisor of Shipbuilding and with other Navy, Government, and Contractor activities as required. Job Requirements: United States (U.S.) citizenship. Ability to operate personal computers and have good knowledge and operational abilities with Microsoft Office tools. A Highschool Degree/GED. Individuals with college degrees or technical school or military certifications will be considered. Ability to support activities in a shipyard or naval facility. Some work may occur within an industrial field office, outdoors and/or aboard ship while the ship is undergoing construction, alteration, activation, overhaul, repair, and/or underway trials. Walking and climbing throughout the ship, to accomplish ship checks, may be required. Exposure to high noise levels, uncomfortable temperatures, heights, or other industrial safety conditions will require use of personal protective clothing and equipment. Seven years of relevant experience with troubleshooting, repairing, and testing of associated equipment and systems in your specialized area (i.e., weapons systems, Ship Self Defense Systems (SSDS), Battle Force Tactical Trainer (BFTT), aviation systems, air search RADARs, SSDS/Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC), surface search RADAR, or shipboard countermeasure equipment). Must be able to obtain an Interim DoD Secret clearance after hire. Ability to travel (less than 10%) to support activities in a shipyard or naval facility or onboard ship while underway.
