Job Responsibilities: Generation of cost reduction ideas Budget setting by part for full programmes Cost estimation for component piece cost and vendor tooling As you would expect, being a global organisation, working cross functionally across the business (inc R&D, Product Planning & Market Intelligence) will be an essential part of the role. Supporting global Cost Benchmarking & Budget Setting activities Job Requirements: A good understanding of electrical/electronic components Some specialist manufacturing process experience such as plastic injection moulding, metal stamping, casting, assembly, etc. would be beneficial. An understanding of the main drivers that affect costs. A strong background in electrical/electronic manufacturing environment however we would still like to hear from applicants from a production, industrial, process engineering or design background. A good understanding of how parts are manufactured and assembled. You need to be a self-motivated character with the ability to work in a team and on your own.
