Job Description: Our Client, who has a well established food production plant on the South Coast of KZN is looking for a qualified & experienced individual to oversee day to day factory operations from Production, Quality Control, Maintenance, Finance, and Staff Management. Job Responsibilities: Attend committee meetings when required to do so Work closely with the Health and Safety committee to ensure that all related regulations are followed Oversee factory expansion projects which involves dealing directly with Contractors, Architects, Engineers etc. Maximizing efficiency in the factory Assist the Financial Manager who will prepare and control budgets, track cash flow, optimize expenditure and present budgets to the Board annually for approval Work closely with Production Managers - analyze data with a view to improving and maximizing the usage of equipment Oversee day to day factory operations, working closely with Line Managers (Production, Quality Control, Maintenance etc.) Attend Board Meetings and present detailed Operations Report at these meetings Linking production with the sales and the marketing strategy Oversee HR/IR Job Requirements: Experience in financial management and budgeting Good understanding of certified food quality programs would be advantageous Relevant tertiary qualification 10yrs+ experience as a Plant Manager/General Manager/Factory Manager in a manufacturing or food production environment is essential Knowledge of business functions (Finance, HR, Operations etc.) Job Details: Company: Drake International Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Durban Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here instantcareers.net
