Job Description: The incumbent will be responsible for researching, monitoring and evaluating projects, including developing and improving evaluation designs and instrumentation; creating and maintaining a database of relevant literature reviews; conducting interviews, focus groups and systematic observations; collecting, coding, analysing, interpreting quantitative and qualitative data and reporting on findings; conducting educational research in order to ensure that the evaluation needs of the projects are met and operating in the most efficient and effective way. Job Responsibilities: Creation and maintenance of information management system. The incumbent will assist in maintaining a computerised monitoring and evaluation system that incorporates a comprehensive set of research instruments that are project specific and user-friendly data capturing system and a menu-driven indicator and analysis report module. This outcome-based process will allow him/her to ascertain the impact of project indicators. Literature searches and reviews; Instrument design, adaptation, piloting, validation and administration; Data collection, capturing, cleaning, analysis and database Monitoring and Evaluation The incumbent will write up the analysis and discuss the significance of research and evaluation findings in project reports as well as present and facilitate discussion around these findings. Writing results appropriate for publication in peer-reviewed journals is critical and preparing written summaries of the research work is required The incumbent will undertake administrative tasks associated with the programmes, such as (1) follow through on plans, report on these and assist in general project administration (2) update and maintain project information database (3) excellent administrative skills Job Requirements: Candidates should not be recently qualified and have demonstrable experience related to the key responsibilities.
