Job Description:
Management of the overall plant, production, maintenance, quality and despatch in line with strategy to deliver enhanced productivity and efficiencies
Job Responsibilities:
- Duties will include overall responsibility for operations including: monitoring and reporting on plant maintenance, production and dispatch
- Development and training of team members
- Prepared to work a 6 day work week and/or public holidays as per operational requirements
- Facilitating shop floor development initiatives
- Ensure conformance to procedures and policies with regards to safe working practices and standard machine operation
- Budget formulation and implementation
- Formulation and implementation of the operations strategy including: maintenance plans, production plans and quality improvement plans
- Implementing and maintaining systems design and compliance
Job Requirements:
- Extensive experience regarding implementation of quality and food safety procedures
- Computer literate (MS Office)
- A formal electrical/engineering/manufacturing qualification preferred
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Knowledge of a bread dispatch system and dispatch logistics will be an advantage
- Knowledge and previous experience of plant maintenance, production and administration management in a bakery or FMCG environment
- TMA Diploma enrollment compulsory
- A sound knowledge of general management principles
- Chamber of Baking qualification
- Production/Maintenance Management experience of the baking/ plant maintenance processes in the Plant Bakery environment
- Previous experience of production and engineering principles in a manufacturing environment
