Job Description:

This is an exciting time to join Royal Mail as we embark on our journey to the future, in this role you will really own the HR Agenda. You’ll assist in the deployment of our strategic area People Plan activities to ensure they align with the wider business strategy. Acting as the key HR interface for the Service Delivery Leader and the Senior Leadership Team, you’ll provide strategic support across the HR Remit.You’ll be accountable for advising stakeholders on Industrial Relations (IR), ensuring adherence to the IR Framework principles, and coaching to ensure plans are thought through and commercially sound.You’ll be the champion of cultural change, working collaboratively with Centre of Excellence and HR Services leadership teams to successfully deploy key HR processes within the organisation – driving business performance, engagement and people processes including performance management, engagement surveys, talent and succession.

Job Requirements:

  • Analyse and present relevant data driven metrics (People Scorecard) and insights to inform decision making and areas for improvement
  • Support change management projects within the Service Delivery Lead (SDL) area, liaising with the Centre of Excellence and Senior Business Partner for direction and escalation
  • Ability to build credible relationships with multiple senior stakeholders, challenging and influencing as appropriate at all levels
  • Ability to analyse, interpret and present data to stakeholders
  • Ability to plan and manage multiple and competing priorities
  • Support senior stakeholders with complex case management and interface with both Advice and Support, and Legal
  • With the SDL, ensure regular strategic intervention meetings take place with the CWU and CMA trade unions and escalate any areas of concern

Qualification & Experience:

  • Significant HR generalist experience
  • Experience working in a large, complex organisation
  • Working with trade unions
  • Experience with change management projects
  • Degree qualified or equivalent
  • CIPD qualified desirable
