Job Description:

An opportunity exists for a Phlebotomy Technician to join the team at our Middestad, Bloemfontein branch. We are seeking an individual who displays a proven track record of competence in Phlebotomy and who has a high level of ethics and integrity while consistently aligning with the PathCare values.

Job Requirements:

• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must have at least one year’s experience post HPCSA registration
• Result-orientated
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Stress resistance and tenacity
• Displays initiative
• Adaptability with the ability to co-operate within a team environment
• Client-focused with excellent attention to detail
• Must have an acceptable track record/performance record with regard to the technical and behavioural competencies required to perform in this position
• Phlebotomy experience is essential
• Phlebotomy qualification and registered with HPCSA
• Must be fluent in English with an understanding of Afrikaans and Sotho
• A positive attitude & flexible work-style
• Computer literate with Meditech knowledge advantageous
• Problem-solving ability
• Pathology experience is highly advantageous which includes order of draw and running of Point of Care instruments i.e. Hemocue, Stratus & running of arterial blood gas on the machine.
