Job Description:
We need someone who can help build on our successful visitor programming and help us develop new relationships and partnerships within the local community. Supported by a Programming Assistant and a group of volunteers you’ll create wonderful visitor experiences.
Job Responsibilities:
- You’ll help lead the consultation process with our family visitors as well as with the local community.
- You’ll work to develop existing partnerships and build new ones locally to help deliver activities on our behalf.
- You’ll help deliver activities and supervise your team of staff and volunteers to deliver activities on site.
- Working with the Volunteering & Community Officer at a nearby property you’ll build new community links that help support our proposition.
- You’ll help us put audiences at the heart of our programming through building on our existing programming offer.
- Through planned enhancement of the site, we are looking to develop new play experiences.
- Focusing on low key, regular programming throughout the year with activities and events appealing to all age ranges, with a focus on nature-based activities and events that link to our history and ethos.
- You’ll help promote the property through social media, our website and local media.
Job Requirements:
- Understanding of an audience-led approach and the ability to evaluate impact and use feedback to further develop an offer or event
- Strong organisational skills including setting priorities and meeting deadlines
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience of delivering projects or activities within the arts, culture, heritage, natural environment, sports or visitor attraction sector
- Experience of working with and supervising volunteers
- Experience of building partnership relationships and working in collaboration with community or commercial partners
- To be able to demonstrate excellent teamwork skills with an adaptable and hands-on approach
