Job Description:

The Global Head of HR Data Governance & Privacy will be responsible for establishing a framework to develop and monitor HR data management and privacy controls, identify data risks and issues, facilitate resolution, and build a culture of quality for HR data which is housed in various systems.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assure trusted HR data for sound business decisions and opportunistic use
  • Collaborate with technology teams to increase consistency of HR data across the enterprise
  • Manage the development and implementation of a framework that identifies, and assesses HR data compliance and privacy requirements including validating control design and operating effectiveness of remediation actions
  • Lead execution of the MetLife Enterprise Data Governance framework within HR
  • Strategic development of a line of defense model customized to HR Data Governance through close collaboration with cross functional partners to develop new and enhanced processes, and provide feedback on controls to mitigate identified and future risks
  • Partner with data management in the development of strategy and roadmap to execute system and change management activities
  • Coordinate the resolution of data integrity gaps by working with the business owners and IT
  • Provide regular assessments summarizing the HR data risk and control environment
  • Partner closely with Legal, Privacy, and other operational teams across the organization to understand and influence the complex world of data, privacy, and the digital ecosystem
  • Provide thought leadership and participate in projects that involve any of the upstream or downstream data flows and processes
  • Identify the need for new standards and/or governance and partner with key stakeholders in developing and implementing them

Job Requirements:

  • Broad data compliance and data privacy knowledge to identify, understand and mitigate levels of risk to HR data globally
  • Knowledge of HR systems including human capital management systems, reporting tools, data modeling tools and applicant tracking systems
  • Proven track record of driving results in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to develop strong professional relationships with peers, managers, executives, and cross-functional teams
  • Strong cultural agility and dexterity with the ability to effectively work across cultures with team members and colleagues from global regions (Asia, EMEA, Latin America and US).
  • Ability to use good judgment to problem solve with urgency, make critical decisions, and involve necessary individuals at the appropriate time
  • Demonstrates a willingness to assume responsibility, demonstrate initiative and is highly ethical and confidential in dealing with sensitive information
  • 5+ years of leading/driving large enterprise programs, with strong program and project management experience
